| Randall Memorial Baptist Church Home Page | A Typical MOPS Morning... The meeting starts with an informal time of refreshments and fellowship, followed by an instructional time. Presentations from MOPS Mentors and outside speakers offer information that is relevant to the life of a mother. We will discuss subjects relating to womanhood, marriage, child rearing, and relationships are all discussed. Some weeks we might have a guest speaker talk to us about topics such as, photography, literacy, sign language or we might learn a new craft technique. Following the teaching time we break into smaller discussion groups that will provide honest interaction, deepening friendships, and spiritual enrichment.MOPS Cares... • That a woman has a safe place to be herself. • That a woman has support during the changing seasons of her roles as wife, mother, and friend. • That a woman knows and experiences God's love. In this high stress period of a mother's life, she often feels inadequate, frustrated, isolated or lonely. Frequently these feelings go unresolved. MOPS is committed to meeting the needs of mothers by: • Creating an atmosphere of encouragement and acceptance, • Developing a sense of committment to family, other women, church, and community, • Providing opportunities for the improvement of leadership skills contributing to a sense of self-worth and confidence promoting spiritual growth by encouraging each woman to discover that Christ is relevant. |
