Tim Schwartx

Tim Schwartz has been a member of the Nichols School faculty for almost thirty years; directing the Nichols Orchestra and creating the Jazz Band as well as the Middle School instrumental program. He has also been an active free lance horn player for many years, playing with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony, National Ballet of Canada, Joffery Ballet, as well as scores of national musical productions. He is also a member of the Buffalo Brass Quintet. Tim can be heard on a number of recordings. More recently he, along with three other horn players recorded all 32 of Lowell Shaw’s Fripperies for Horn Quartet. Tim received his Bachelor of Music from Houghton College and his Masters of Music Education from SUNY at Buffalo.
